Let’s go Birding!: December’s NatureKids Adventure

This month we’re exploring winter birds, those that are here year-round and those that visit New Brunswick just for the season. These hardy birds have adaptations that help them survive the cold like special feathers, behaviours, and feeding habits. 

Our December activities invite groups to learn to bird and contribute to the global Christmas Bird Count:

Four Corners: Practice your bird knowledge with this habitat challenge. 

Birdwatching: Create a bird list and contribute data to CBC4Kids!

Charades: Let’s get a bit silly and practice our bird knowledge with this fun game of charades. Can you act like a duck or a woodpecker?

Crafting Cardinals: Be inspired by the beauty of cardinals to create your own masterpieces!
