The NatureKids January activity was to create a winter bird feeder! This activity is a simple way to help your local birds get through winter by providing them with some easily accessible food. Plus, you can practice your bird identification skills at the same time!
The Little Munchkins Preschool Center had a great time making their bird feeders and put on lots of yummy peanut butter and seeds for the birds to snack on.
The Hampton Fresh Air Collective also participated in this month’s activity. They read about backyard birds in New Brunswick, made the feeders and hung them outside. Better yet, they took advantage of the freshly fallen snow to look for animal tracks along the way.
Pretty hard to beat outdoor learning!
