Nature NB takes on the 10th City Nature Challenge

Join us from April 25-28 in the City Nature Challenge! This global bioblitz event, which makes use of iNaturalist to interest people to spring biodiversity, is on its tenth year in cities across Canada. For the sixth consecutive year, Nature NB is hosting it in New Brunswick.

Participants are invited to step into their backyards or local parks and use iNaturalist to document the plants and animals they discover. Whether you’re a seasoned naturalist or just getting started, everyone’s observations help paint a clearer picture of New Brunswick’s rich natural heritage.

Throughout the event, Nature NB will host a series of guided walks. No experience is necessary—guidance on using iNaturalist will be provided. All data collected is open source and can be used by researchers, conservation groups, and community members to support environmental efforts across the province.
