Remembering Roger Leblanc (1954-2023)
It is with a heavy heart that Nature NB shares the obituary of Roger Leblanc, our longtime friend and member who passed away on June 3, 2023. Roger was in Saint John for our Festival of Nature, preparing to lead a birding outing that very morning.
In addition to being a member of Nature NB, Roger had also served as a board member, and was a French-language copy editor and translator for our magazine, NB Naturalist. Roger was also involved with Les ami.e.s de la nature du sud-est du N.-B. and Nature Moncton. He was always willing and excited to collaborate with community groups and youth organizations who were interested in learning more about our province’s birds.
Our thoughts are with Roger’s partner Dyane Léger and their son Emmanuel at this difficult time.
