Cocagne Community Clean-up
Together we can make Cocagne a greener place!
The Groupe de développement durable du Pays de Cocagne (GDDPC) in collaboration with the Communauté rurale de Cocagne invites you to a community clean-up on Saturday April 24, 2021 at 10:00 am.
We will meet at the parking lot of the Pelican restaurant in Cocagne, near the four corners. If the weather is bad, we will postpone the activity to Sunday April 25, 2021 at 2pm. There will be all the necessary equipment such as gloves, bags and snacks. Please dress for the weather. We are raffling off participation prizes which include beautiful local produce, butterfly plants and sweaters. Join us for the Cocagne Community Cleanup and we’ll have a lot of fun rehabilitating the Cocagne River watershed!
Each year we celebrate Earth Day on April 22. Over the past few years, Cocagne Watershed residents have been passionate about improving our community by participating in Earth Day activities such as community cleanups and tree identification workshops. Things are a little different with COVID-19, but that doesn’t mean we can’t continue to safely care for our planet.
Community Clean-up
We are hosting a community cleanup in small groups. The trash collected will be taken to Eco360. Thank you to the Kent Regional Services Commission for supporting us! You can also participate by picking up trash at your home, follow the steps outlined below:
- Send an email to gddpc@nb.aibn.com and let us know that you are participating in the community clean-up.
- Clean up your own property with family members from your household. Remember to use gloves and bags to pick up trash.
- Take a photo of your cleanup and send it to gddpc@nb.aibn.com to confirm your participation. Watch for your cleanup photos on our social media channels!
- Dispose of the trash with your own household trash. Any questions regarding excess trash pickup or community cleanup can be sent to Wiebke Tinney at gddpc@nb.aibn.com.
